Goku/Gohan Statue
Hey everyone.. I know this is a very, very overdue update from me. Unfortunately, in addition to being sick and not being able to update my YouTube, I recently went out of town for a week on a road trip. It was long, but a much needed break from work and life. It was like a small vacation. Now that I'm back in town and back to work, I have a lot to catch up on and a lot coming up in the near future. I have three projects coming up this week, and they are all very demanding of my attention and time. Furthermore, my boss will be leaving town this week on Thursday, so that leaves me in charge of a lot of things I normally don't have on my plate.

In other wordsssssssss, I'm going to be busy.

But I wanted to let all of you know that I haven't forgotten about you!! And I'm STILL collecting, haha. I can't help myself. Since my last update, I've acquired a lot of miscellaneous figures. And actually, I've been catching up on my Sailor Moon collection! I'll have to post some pictures of those neat figures very soon.

I haven't done much custom work, but I am waiting for an order of putty to come in. Here I posted a picture of my custom Bardock by Jakks with Baby Goku by Banpresto! Isn't it adorable?! :D I thought it would be a nice image for all of you to look at while you read this.. if you read this at all, lol.

Anyways, I just wanted to let you all know what's been up.. and that I will get around to YouTube when I can. I hope you can all understand that my responsibilities and whatnot are placed before YouTube. But I appreciate all my readers and subscribers!!! So I do want to give you something new to watch. <3

Cheers! And thanks for your patience!
Goku carrying Milk!

To put it plainly, for almost two weeks now, I have felt like this little Goku does, rather だるいな〜〜。 せきがあります。 Anyways... I just haven't been well. I have a horrible cough, and I can't seem to kick this cold. It's pretty bad. I've been trying to "take it easy" so I can recover, but it doesn't seem to be helping. Hopefully this will be the last week of it. I would like to start making videos again and show you guys the new stuff I have collected over this long period of time.

Uggghh... 体の調子が悪い〜…。

Ah, finally! Figuarts Gohan pictures have been released (showing the colors and everything!) If you haven't already, I suggest trying to order him--if you're lucky, you can still get the pre-order price. I cannot WAIT for this figure. He looks amazing. He looks to be the most accurate-to-manga action figure of SS Gohan everrrrrrrrrrr.

P.S. I have been SICK. Really sick. This is why there are no new videos or anything to watch...
Happy Goku / Grandpa Gashapon
So today is some very, very, VERY exciting DragonBall action figure news (or model kit, to be correct). They are going to be making Vegeta and Trunks MG Figurerise kits!!!! Can anyone say it's about time?!? Although there isn't a release date, it is suspected to be in the fall sometime, which is a ways away. However, this now shows that Bandai is very willing to expand it's Figurerise line into more characters, which gives us hope that the line may take off and we could eventually see villains! Also, it gives hope to the Figuarts line, which I really hope to start seeing some new characters released. We're still holding out for Vegeta and Gohan in the Figuarts line.

Anyhow, here are the pictures!

That's it for now! I just had to hop online really quick and update everyone with this fantastic news!!
Bardock's back

Today I come to you with another post involving my most recent custom work. However, before I go into detail about thaaat, I'd like to mention, I plan on doing a very AWESOME custom in the near future. I'm currently in the process of obtaining all the parts I will need. This custom might just be my best work ever.. (or it could turn out crappy.. but lets not thing about that alternative).

Now, on to today's custom.

As you all know.. I am a Bardock-lover. Sooooooo.. my latest series of customs involved none other than Bardock! Yaaay! I decided that Jakks did a horrible paint job on Bardock and wanted to fix it. First of all, Bardock should have RED arm guards and ankle guards, with a RED bandana. And the toes on his boots should be GREEN. Jakks painted Bardock with brown, brown, brown, and no bandana. :D But I fixed it! I also have two Bardocks (one is Super Saiyan) that I have removed the side guards off the armor because they bug me. So.. I have three custom Bardocks, and one original Jakks Bardock.

Maybe I should say Bardock one more time. Lol.
Well, enjoy!!! ^^

That's it! I just love these figures. I hope you do to! There's a lot of money invested in these babies.. WOO. So, don't ask to buy one unless you can really fork out the moolah! And I mean.. more than $100. :P Sorry.

Alrighty, here is a collection update, finally!! I know it's been forever... I just really can't describe how busy I am. As for this collection update, you'll notice a lot of the pictures look the same as my first collection post (click here to see), but! they're not the same. If you look closely, I've got new additions. I'll give some info on the pictures to explain what the new additions are. Enjoy!!!!

On the second shelf, the pirate robot is new! :D

Here, Gray Majin Buu is new, and so is the metallic Super Buu on the right. AND.. the shelving unit.

Notice the new walkie talkies? SS Goku and Freeza? Also, Pan's robot suit. Then, I got a shelf to display everything.

Nothing new except alllll those boxes. Lol. (And the dust..!)

New Dorda SS Goku. New Goku watches.

Nothing new, except the arrangement here. I moved the big Oozaru and the big RedRibbon suit over here.

New stuff: Master Roshi, General Blue, Bootleg Oozaru Man in the back.. and a few others.

New customs! I painted my Bardocks properly (with the Red for the arms and ankles, and green on his boots! Instead of the ugly brown Jakks used..)

Close-up of my custom work. Green boots, red ankles and arms, and added a bandana. Other new stuff is the Vegeta and Bardock behind them.

New here is Nappa! Alternate paint version.

New here is Pikkon! :)

There's the new Bardock on the left.. and you can see an "original" Bardock on the right (without my custom paint job)

New here are those policeman Goten and Trunks, and Yamcha and Puar.

Some of the mini figures are new. Not sure which ones.

:) See the pokemon? SO CUTE.

New are the two Sailor Moons behind Super Sailor Moon.

And this is my latest prized addition to my SM Collection. I'm still hunting for Sailor Star Fighter and Healer. :(

So that's it for my collection update! Hope you enjoyed!! ^^ I don't have much else to say right now.. (as it is Mother's Day.. and I'm gonna go spend time with my momma.) Thanks for looking!
Goku Statue - Genki Dama
So it's been a while, hasn't it? Not only for my LJ, but for my YouTube as well. What's been going on? Wellllllllllllll. Work. Last week I had three clients come to me needing work done ASAP. And this is stuff I have to do outsiiiide of my actual job--meaning freelance work. Anyways. I'm still working on one of these three projects. But luckily, the other two are just about done. Unfortunately for my YouTube subscribers, work comes first for me. And everyday after work, I've had to go home and... work! Lol. But such is the life of a designer.

I apologize for the long break. I know I need to get some new videos up. My collection has REALLY grown since the last time I made a video of it.. so if anything, I need to make a collection update video. That would probably be best. Then! I will try to make a review video. I checked my YouTube today and saw that I had 801 subscribers!!!!!!!! I'm shocked, genuinely shocked. I have to make a video for all them. And I will. Promise!
I don't have any DB news to report (at least not that I've heard of). I haven't been checking up on these like I normally do. I feel so out of the loop!!

I also realize a lot of you are holding out for this contest. I will be honest, it is in the works. But I'm not really sure how I'll go about it all yet. I wish there were more hours in the dayyyyy!!!!!

Until next time, this is Yummy!

Cheers!
Vegeta smirking w/ scouter
Today, I bring you a rather interesting post. But before I get into it, I'll update everyone on my YouTube status. As of right now, this week I have NOT had time to tend to YouTube whatsoever. It's unfortunate, but I am planning on getting reviews done next week at some point. I simply have too much going on right now to focus on filming/editing videos. But! I do need to do a collection update very soon. I got some spice racks in the mail, so I now have my figures displayed very nicely around my room. And was actually able to make MORE room to display stuff from that bin under my bed. So, keep your eyes peeled for that! Now, onto the funny stuff...

OMGGGGGGGG! Hahaha. Okay, so, thanks to Kazentai, I have discovered these hilarious comedians from Japan!! According to Kazentai, they make up a comedy group called "Ban Ban Ban", and they are: R Fujimoto, F Yamamoto, and Pikkari Takagi. The reason they have been featured, or brought to attention, is due to the fact that they will be voice acting in one episode of Dragonball Kai! According to Kazentai:
Now, for anyone unfamiliar with their act, they dress like their favorite DragonBall characters and combine their humor with different situations or scenes related to the series. Fujimoto is often seen dressed as Vegeta, while Yamamoto portrays Freeza and Pikkari does Nappa, and sometimes Krillin...On April 9th, Fujimoto and Yamamoto arrived at TAVAC Studios, where the audio for every episode and movie of DragonBall has ever been recorded. They were set to provide the voices for two of King Cold and Mecha Freeza's henchmen. But first, they met the rest of the main cast and received their official scripts.
I included two of their videos that had me rolling with laughter. Unfortunately, for those who do not speak Japanese, there are no subtitles, but if you can understand it, please, enjoy!! Nappa is pretty much hilarious. If anyone knows where I can find more of these two (other than YouTube) let me know! I'd love to watch more of their acts!

Look at this! As if I didn't have enough "wish list" items already, I now have to add these guys! The Oozaru figure, made by Banpresto, has been out for a while, but it looks like they have now released two special editions of it, a golden oozaru and a black oozaru. They're pretty awesome. And to my knowledge, these bad boys are actually BIG boys---they're 14 inches tall! Heeey. However, they are quite expensive to get a hold of (which is the major reason I don't have them yet), with shipping and all, they range from $150 - $299 in price. Are they worth it? What do you think? The main reason for their high price is that they are actually prizes, not items you can just go buy off a shelf. They're called "ichiban kuji" [一番くじ] and there are a variety of these sort of DragonBall related prizes. All are expensive. But all are AMAZING quality.

Cheers!

To each his own.

Late last night, while trying to fall asleep, I found myself browsing YouTube and coming to a rather obvious conclusion: To each his own. In the broad expanse of the internet world we are able to see a lot of people's "own," if you get what I mean. In other words, we are given the rare opportunity to see things, quirks, hobbies, guilty pleasures and what not that many people have and display proudly. The reactions from the "general public" to someone exposing themselves so bravely are varied. Sometimes people react with amazement, other times a simple "cool," but a lot of the times, unfortunately, people get negative reactions to sharing their individuality. Such criticism, while expected on the internet, is very, very unfortunate. I know it is damaging to a person's self esteem, and also it is actually dampering to their individuality. Whatever happened to being unique? When we LISTEN to the people who judge us, we are actually letting them shove us into THEIR cookie-cutter mold of what is normal, instead of just being happy. How boring---being like everyone else. Yuck.

I say be yourself. Stand out. Collect what you want. Create what you desire. Be nerdy. Be silly. Love yourself and let others drown in their own lack of self worth. It takes a stronger person to be themselves than to be what the world thinks they should be..

I know this isn't my "typical" blog post---as it has nothing to do with DB toys!! BUT... I have been sharing one of my hobbies/guilty pleasures with the entire interweb and get nothing but JOY from it! So, I suggest to others to please do the same. Enjoy what you enjoy. You have but one life to live, so live it and love it! I get a lot of comments and messages from people saying that I've given them the courage to be more open about their own collections. And that thrills me! Who caaaaares if 6 inch plastic action figures are created for children? If they make you smile, that's all that matters.

So next time someone gets down on you for being you, don't take it personal, instead, take it as a compliment because what they're really saying is "I wish I had the courage to be myself." Don't stop living, but also.. don't stop being yourself.

Cheers!
